Lions Futball Club

 

We offer several programs, designed to help players achieve success at their age level.

 

This is an entry-level program for players U5 to U8. The structure of the program is designed to teach the fundamental skills needed to succeed at the older age groups. Lions' trainers and staff will serve as facilitators who teach the technical skills that serve as the foundation of all future player development. Players will train once a week with a Lions' professional trainer.

 

Our Academy Program is for players U9 to U10. It’s a progressive program that promotes fair play, positive competition, and sportsmanship. Children are matched on teams that are not only similar in age, but also similar in ability. By the end for the program, players are prepared for tryouts on a U11 Select Team.

 

This is the younger age group of the select teams and players are required to tryout for a spot on a team. Trainers will continue to build upon ball control, positioning and game strategy. Teamwork and coordination are important concepts that are fostered to produce teams that are prepared to compete at a higher level.

 

For older players, the focus is twofold. First, training for these players challenges them to higher level of physical and mental conditioning, producing players and teams with high-level soccer thinking skills, physical finesse, and tactical cunning. The intent is to produce not only top-notch club players and championship caliber teams, but also vital varsity high school players.

 

Secondly, the club endeavors to showcase its high school seniors, juniors and sophomores to recruiting college coaches. Our annual Lions Showcase each December draws college coaches from around the nation, and provides your player an opportunity.
