Lions FC is excited to announce that Danny Oughton will be joining our coaching staff for the 2024-2025 season.

Danny has recently served as the Men’s Assistant Coach at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. While serving as assistant coach, he has been able to pursue a Masters in Sport and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Management. He has over 15 years of coaching experience working at club and collegiate levels.

He has served at various director roles with local clubs such as Boerne Soccer Club and San Antonio United Soccer Club. He also served as the Men’s and Women’s Assistant Coach at Our Lady of the Lake University prior to his move to Canyon. Danny currently holds the USSF ‘C’ License among other U.S. Soccer and United Soccer Coaches licenses. After his time in the Panhandle, Danny will be moving down with his wife and newborn son to join us at Lions FC.
